Help with Tk 35

Hello,

 

My name is Andrei and i am a collector and amateur filmmaker from Romania. Forgive me please for writing in english. I don't know german and my english writing maybe is not so good. So please have patience with me.

 

As i said, i am a collector of cinema cameras, projektors and other things related with cinema. Recentry i've open an mini museum dedicated to the activity of amateur filmkamers, that is also an activ cinemaclub. We work digital but also on 16mm film.

 

As i am an collector, i have a 35mm projector, a model that is a russian copy after Tk 35, Kh. It is complete, but i have sound problems with it.

 

This weekend i've received an donation, in the form of a Tk 35. I have the projector, lamp housing, reel housing, sound box. I hope to get the electric box (i don't now the term for it ) and the tripod.

 

Don't have the cables, the lamp, collector reel belt.

 

Im writing you in the hope for a lot of help. I will like to make it work again, improve the sound reader and lamp on it and i so info on the internet, saying that it is possible and giving a link to this site. I want to make at our club free film projections on 35mm.

 

I have my eyes on ebay.de for parts for it, and if you know other website that have parts for sale, please let me know. Also, i want info about how to improve the sound sistem and lamp for outsite projections.

What kind of sound problem do you have?

Was a film with cyan soundprint played without a redlight scanning,

so with a white clay lamp?

Should it have been so, you must the TK35 be converted to redlight scanning.

The problem with sound it was on the KH projector. I didn't use the Tk 35, i don't have the cables, and the electric box to connect it. The film used for the Kh projector was Matrix Revolution i think, so beeing a newer film, so it could be the redlight thing. If you have an tutorial, and price for converting, it will help me.

By the way: Are you from the Cluj-Napoca-area? There is an old abandoned building with probably thousands of 35mm and 16mm prints in it. The only problem is that vandals have started throwing them around everywhere. But probably it is not too late to save some of the material.

Hehe, nope but i know the story. A guy from our organisation was there and saved aprox. 120 reels of films (about 500 kg). He used after that a train to bring back 120 reels! He has a lot of storys to tell about that adventure.

 

The reels are from different films and we have almost complete a Harry Potter movie (missing 1 reel), Phantom of the opera (missing first reel), How the Grinch Stole the Christmas from 2000 ( 1 reel missing), and other films missing 1 or more reels.

 

The story is sad there. I hope to get some friend and go there so save more. The movies are in what they call "Starea 5" - movies taken out of the projection circuit, but even so they can be projected.

Some pictures. The glass/lens in the picture has some staines on it. It looks like it could be cleaned. Should i try?
