Darf ich wider auf English antworten, mein Deutsch verläuft serh mühsam.

Martin, do you have schematics of the Ernemann 15 electronics?  Film-Tech does not provide them so you as well as myself have to fly by sight.

What exactly is wrong with yours? I am a newbie, but learning fast.

Ours had a problem with the off-reel regulator electronics, so off-reel traction was lost.

The tension controller arms hold a conductive plastic potmeter each which control the regulator electronics.

Both circuits are identical, as are their 2 controller boards.

On-reel controller board sits in the 1st-from-left  in the Euro rack chassis slot, Off-reel in the second. Both are interchangeable.

The boards have a green LED indicator to indicate power incoming.

If either off-reel or on-reel traction is not present, test it this way:

- lift the tension controller arm of the off-reel with the off-reel controller board connected. You should get traction.

If not, swap the controller board.

- If you do get traction that way, you have determined the fault lies with 1 controller board.

- Try the inverse with the on-reel section. Same rules apply..

I have not studied the fault thoroughly, since ours was only a broken fuse.

However, if your fault is more severe, suspect all Electrolytic Capacitors and recap the whole circuit.

If your fault lies elsewhere, I have to start studying some more. And/or ask around.

If so, please describe your issue in some more detail.

Tatsächlic. Aber ich finde das Wort "Angsthase" zu gross. In meiner Muttersparche heisst das auch "angsthaas".

Aber, wenn ich stressiere fÜhle ich mich ganz klein, deswegen: "Angstkaninchen"....?

Heut ist der Ausfall vom Abwickelmotor vorläufig/ permanent gelöst, durch Ersatz von eine Sicherung in dem Abwickelmotor Kontrollcircuit.

Also war ich doch nur ein Angstkaninchen das das swierigste fürchtete... Um sonst.

Ok, update: where do I start looking? According to Film-Tech schematics, I have 2 possible suspects:

Jumper #7&8, reel-off & reel on 24V motor feeds, straight from a rectifier bridge.

Am I missing something?

Schau dir mal das Poti (9) auf der Rückseite der Aufwickelachse an. Wenn es hier Kontaktschwierigkeiten gibt läuft die Wickelrolle nicht mehr gleichmäßig.

The Film Tech's manuals do not cover the winding mechanism, so it is a little bit of being on yourself to fix it...

The problem with Ernemann 15 is, these projectors do not like to be set aside, and not used over prolonged time. You get failures in the electronics.

For your time to time engagements a classic movie projector is a better choice, and the chance to still get an older Bauer, Philips, Victoria or even Ernemann 8b/ 9/ 10 is not really bad.

For which I'm extremely grateful, by the way!

In fact, I am a theatre tecchie in an Anwerp-based Cultural Centre, Cultuurcentrum Berchem.

My native language is Dutch.

Since this theatre season (2018-2019), we organise 4x 35 Film shows a year, shown through:

- image via our Ernemann 15 projector.

- sound via our Dolby CP500 processor.

Both systems as well as film stock duly tested before going public.

What happened the day before yesterday during the show was that the lower actuator/sensor arm of the Ernemann 15 started acting up/fluctuating, during the last 2" of the entire reel (7 parts of "An American in Paris").

As it seems, there is a malfunction with our Ernemann15: its off-reel traction went down, thus going into intolerable friction, breaking the film.

Not the slightest response anymore.

I will be checking its 10K conductive plastic potmeter, wiring, and its electronics.

Hopefully someone on this forum can link me to some schematics for the Ernemann15, otherwise I will try to fly blindly.

Ernemann 15 Filmtraktionsteil ist fehlerhaft, nehmermotor dreht nicht mehr mit/ blokkiert fast. Schade!

Ich vermute fehlerhafte Kontakten oder Potmeter auf die bilanzierachse.

Bevor ich darin sehe/ messe ist das los raten.

Ohne Handbuch, swierig!

Fernbedienung ist völlig aktionsfähig.

Haben Sie vieleicht ein Schema/ Werkstatthandbuch?

Der Projektor selber ist ziemlich vollständig in ordnung!

Dolby CP 500, zweiter und letzte Komponent in die Kette ist werksam. Patch OK, Signal OK.

Audio kein Problem.

und weiter: plötslich fäng der Nemhmer zu oscillieren an, der Film war gebrochen in no time. 

Der Nehmerarm scheint nicht mehr in der Lage Oscillierungen zu merken.

Ich vermute ein kaputtes Microschalter oder Potmeter (variable Widerstand),

weil gar keine Respons mehr von Abwickelspuhl noch Getriebe.

Jemand Schematics/ Werkstatthandbuch oder Berätigung hier?
