Hello! I have problem with thi machine in drive belt, i don't know which belt to use because I don't have any manual or something. On projector are two places for belt motor. SO I'm wonder which belt to use? Marin

I want to built spulenturm with mehanical friction, because this way is simpler and if something gone wrong is easyl so fix, and DC motor are quite expensive. I want to make whole friction new and conected it to motor via belt drive with cca 200rpm on friction. Other motor gonna be for rewinding conected directly to other rell. I want to ask if someone has experiance with friction which can drive film up to 5000 meters??? Or maybee some drawnings...also on every rell I want to ad dancing arm so that can compesate bad film or bad rells. Can someone share opinions with me? Marin

Hm....what kind of premap you add....got schematic to look it? But I think "tweaking" dolby preamp is simpliest and better thing to do, because you don't have problem about wiring and all hum which comes with it....

If I understoot corectly, you don't have enought level with 69T on CP65? You have this possibilities: Add external premaplifier to cell's input On preamp module add extra resistor in serial with gain pot to achive higher gain ( i do this ten minutes ago in 108 on CP50) Use 3W luxeon LED, i did this on CP500 and MEO5 without any problems.

Hello! The cuemark reader isn't installed here, and also wiring is ok because this was working good until a month ago. So on schematic I saw that projector black button for dowser closing is connected from flip-flop to graund....and when is pressed dowser is closng. Also that same button is connected to ground via second projector K5 relay.....so this is why I suspect in relay. Dowser sometimes goes down, sometimes no......but manuly on that projector evertime is going down. I was thinking to try change K5 relay on other machine if everything else like wiring is ok. But I goging in monday to that cinema so we will see :wink:

Acctuly no, when I press black button on that projector is going down, bu when I do changeover on second projector then is not going down....only automaticly is not going down.

Hello! I have two meo 5 in one location, problem is when one is in operation and then second goes up, when changeover button is being presse the selenoid pulls up light breaker and on other projector it must be fall down, but it stays up until manualy on controll pannel button is not pressed. So I think that problem can be in K5 relay of second projector, or something with contacts, but I think that relay is powerd ok since exciter lamp is switching on normaly?

Hello! You can see here Prexer Ap-622 with 250W halogen lamp and 350mm mirror. I want to use 400W...but didn't get transformer.....so I gonna left that for long winter days.... :D

I've got some idea to make sidewinder by mine own......but got problem's with drive motors....I try to to something like Meopta with asynhron motors and resistor in serial with it....but I've get motors over heat too much! :lol: Another idea is to put DC motors with regulation, and get regulation from arm lik on ernemann or kinoton. Any ideas or help with chosing motors....or maybee somebody do this also? Marin

We are talking about condensor in rectifier? No load voltage is 92V so that wouldn't present problem......and with same rectifier another projector working fine, also try to change ignitor in this one but problem remains. I will try to change capacitor....but is new I think. Could be problem in lamp?

I figured out a wiring of Igniter.....the problem I've got is that lamp won't ignite every time (500W horizontal)... Rectifier is mine homebrew...but isn't problem, because another projector with 900W vertical strikking without any problems at all! Also I try to put different igniter but same problem remains! But when I put higher current I get lamp ignite, and then I raise down current......lamp is new (newer worked but made in about 1986).

YES! This is true!!! So at end of lamphouse there should be lenses that arc can be visualy seen on back of projector. So arc which is upside down (anode down, cathode up) is arc comming directly from bulby, and second arc is arc comming from small mirror, so that second arc should be placed in middle of first arc, so the electrodes almost touches end of first arc, but NOT touching, just closer! So the light from smaller mirror can pass between electrodes of bulb and go to big mirror and then to film gate. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong about this? Or is crater reflector on projector is bad, You may use small mirror and put it in optical axle between big mirror and lamp to saw tha, off cource lamp should be off then..... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Yes, I also can't tell any reason that small mirror could cause this, I think is stupid from deal who sell me to ask something like this, but..... Tommorow I will ask for new mirror!!!!

I installed new mirror in lamp house with Meopta 380mm diameter mirror and XBO2500 i vertical position. After 15-20 min of working I notticed that about of couple of centimeters silver reflecting surface was gone from mirror, it was fall of easily and after next 20 minutes of working about 30% of mirror was damaged.....lamp house has small mirror as well and cooling fans! I spoked with dealer who sold me this and he told that may bee i miss aligned small mirror (so the light is striking the big mirror - but If I miss aligned the I think less light will strike big mirror than was aligned?) but everything is properly aligned because on another projector is same XBO, with same mirror, lamp house, fans.....and everything is OK! And in all places i worked with this mirrors I newer had problems. This mirror isn't produced anymore and I think this one is made in 1986....so maybe after long storing time this could happen? Opinions, ideas.....????

Yes, I even install lamps 20 year old....but Osram don't give warrenty limit like that, only for burning uhrs...I newer saw data for storage time in documents?

Is there any date for XBO lamp that can be stored in original package? I hear that XBO lamps from Osram may be stored for a 3 year max, so after that they aren't good for use? I have situation where I install XBO lamps which are been stored for 10-15 year and now they working really fine, and newer have problems with ignition. Is there any papers where this data can be found, so far I newer saw data like this.

Yes......but most are same, that diode http://www.datasheets.org.uk/datasheet/...Y324.shtml isnt' BY is some BY233-600, but filename is 234.......... I'm going to upgrade from XBO1600 to XBO2500 because that I need this data!

This isn't that diode, mine list are diodes made by ISKRA KRANJ!

Stefan, thanks for help, but I have 100V from auxillary tranformer, so i haven't any problem about no-load volatage now! but you're idea iv very good because we can use smaller secondary volate for booster voltage!!
