OK, problem why lamp couldn't ignit with diode was in first smoothing capacitor (newer used, but obviously junk :lol: ) Now everything working wright like on this schematic, only C1 capacitor and cables to him heats too much, but I think that OK because this is single phase rectifier, so has much ripple voltage then three-phasse.

That idea to short diode after powering lamp is good to save energy! :D I think on You're schematic that you didn't put booster voltage to negative, you put that wire with diode on plus, didn't then other wire from transformer must come to - pole of DC? This is mine schematic, it realy work I try it wright now I'm striking 900W lamp without any problems!!! What You think about it?

Thanks Stefan for answer! But if we remove V4 we also gonna get 100V from auxillary rectifier? I do some experimets with this kind of rectifier, only transformer is singlephase, and I conect 100V DC directly to main DC feed to lamp via 300Ohm resistot and relay contact which cutt-off 100V after lamp strike and everything work OK. What you think about this, is V4 really nesasery?

Hello; I've got question about this rectifier. Is it just for safety measures if someone switch poles on XBO so lamp won't ignit or some other reasons? Like maybe got something with that 100V DC comming from other transformerr via 300Ohm resistor which is used for lamp striking?? Also something about capacitors C1 and C2...C1 is conected directly and C2 is connected to DC via R3 (for current limiting thrue C2 isn't it?), but why C1 isn't concted via some resistot like C2??? Is this resistor realy need to be here??? Also what is R2 for (intended to don't leave DC without load when XBO iisn't ON) but how when K switch depress when we switch ON rectifier??? Thanks for answers!!!!!! P.S. If schematic isn't good let me know then i get better resulution, or if somebody needs it for him own!

I'm using 350mm diameter mirror and XBO 900W vertical lamp, so I want to know what is distance from film gate to center of lamp?

I conect everything, now I have automatic strike when DC comes from rectifier, or manualy with pusshbutton on lamphouse!

I've got Siemens Shuckewerke ZX2001b igniter. I see that when DC from rectifier comes to this igniter that relay strike lamp automaticly, also can additional swich may be attach for ignitionig? Best would be if someone have schematic of this igniter, because to saw it without cover I must separate it from lamphouse. Thanks!!

Sorry to write in english :) Hmmm better projector E8 vs. FP-25....depends where You use it? If is single theatre or similar, Ernemann 8 is still very good because You don't have need to use automatic, remote focusing, framing, format changing, nad is simple to repair than kinoton, because it have less complicated lectronic than FP-25. And also concidering mechanical parts I think that also isn't problem to find in Germany. But FP-25 have curved gates, that gives him more equal sharper picture, and maybee FP-25 gonna give more light with same lamphouse during shutter (is it single blade shutter in FP-25?).

Finaly i gonna put photos, they are low resolution because are taken by mine mobile phone camera :P :P The sound is now much better quality, expecilay if originaly amplifier isn't used :!: Any opinion :roll: :roll: ???

Yesterday I finaly make KN-17 capable of playing cyan films with red lifght in soundhead......I gonna put some pictures later. I changed sound optic (slit lenses) and make new holders for optics and led (I've put slit lenses from Iskra projectors :D :D ), also very important is to change photodiode, because original photodiode isn't sensitive enought to red part of light spectrum (650nm), so than smaller output signal is possible occuring, and also now sound is much better quality due to new better slit image!!!!! If somebody need any help about this ask!

Thanks Stefan! Actually I made smaller slit mask for KN-17 (using gillete platinum shaving blades :-)) funny isn't it? ) and I achieve let's say same sound and HF like with original lamp! But signal level is smaller because less light comes to photodiode, so I must put some kind of amplification! If you can please send me that documents You have, I gonna send You mine mail to PM. Does anybody ever try to convert KN-17 portable projector for reading cyn films with red light? I did, but problem is in slit mask, mask is too high, so with led i don't get good high frequency, and when i put something to shorter mask and get better high frequency (i get very good sound then) then i don't have good signal leevl on output of amplifier. What do you thinkk of idea to put some kind of amplifier? Best would be if someone have any of KN-17 documentation, I'm interested in KN-17 amplifier model: 6Y-34Y3. Thanks! Marin

Yes I'm aware of heat problem with led. Problem is that LM317T heats too much? Do you know why? I't delivers 370mA to LED and led working very very good, but LM317T heats too much! Why?

I did regulator for 1W Lumiled with LM317T, and i put led and LM317 on same heatsink, but problem is that heatsink is heating too much. Can this may be problem or? Input voltage is 9V, should lower input voltage. I get voltage from transformerto greatz with 4700uF capacitor and then to LM317 and led.

I saw it on meopta.com, they put some newer stuff in MEO5 like collors and insteed of standard electronic they put PLC's! Any new reverse scan soundhaed for analog and digital sound. http://www.meopta.com/index.php?id=107〈=en Anybody have it seen?

Hallo; Abhängiges stichhaltiges System haben wir, wir können unterschiedliche Resultate erhalten, wenn wir cyan-blauen Film mit normaler Erregerlampe spielen. Expecialy, wenn wir Dolby-System haben, intelligent...oder irgendein anderer Qualitätsprozessor können wir erhaltenes stichhaltiges O.K., weil Geräuschabstand in dem Systeme sehr groß sind, aber mit normaler Erregerlampe erhielten wir Signaltropfen und SR-Decoder kann enought Signal erhalten, Dolby-SR und auch Matrixdecoder zu decodieren. Situation mit den Mono- oder anderen Systemen sind häufig mit vielen Geräuschen beim Spielen cyan-blau mit Erregerlampe, und wenn Erreger llamp Licht dann heller ist, erhielten wir UV, die freien thrue cyn Film und iluminate Solarzelle führenFotodiode. Aber irgendeine Art Gespräch des roten Lichtes ist besser als Erregerbirne, es letztes längeres, nur ein Welle lenght erhalten, keine Heizung.....

On rell that is collecting film (down rell assembly) are belt what is very very bad, so where can I get this new belt, or maybee find something like that what would work also?

Are somebody made cyan conversation with lumiled's led diodes??? Also can someone upload picture of that two photodiodes used for stereo reading aand explain little how is done, and off course hor quality sound is with that optic system on MEO4??

I ask about this because i gonna make quick instalation for Vic8 and take it out when couple of films pass. For cyan readers conversation I use SMPS power supply by each projector.

So you put two photodiode insteed original 1PP75? Also what are bad things about this machine, i know that mechanism isn't son good, but i didn't wotk a lot with them.

OK, english now. What do you mean about LM317? Problem is i can't get LP3864 and LM317 i can!
