I bought 8 cartridges of Pro8 film from Wittner last year. While I loved the film material and the look, I had bad problems with several cartridges jamming or not running well (esp. in my 4008 ZM). I guess that's the reason why those Pro8 cartridges haven't been sold yet...

I think Aviphot Chrome 200 looks really nice, even in S16: (sorry for the flicker, it was caused by a light leak in the camera). I'm certainly interested in buying one dose if such a sammelbestellung is planned again.

You are correct, sorry for my mistake. Internet Wayback Machine (archive.org) has some pages archived in January and others in July 2013 and it doesn't tell when browsing if the next page wasn't archived at the same time. Didn't notice that. The price difference between March 2013 and 2014 is quite dramatic then.

It's certainly a good thing then that Aviphot is the first color reversal motion picture film I'm shooting for projection use. :)

I'm still waiting for my tests to be processed. Should be next week, we were able to get BW processed yesterday so it's getting closer. If I like what I see I'm in for one dose.

I'd be interested in seeing how Ektachrome 2253 from that seller turns out. The latest stock available has expired in 2002, correct? I guess you have to process it yourself because it's VNF and not E-6...

This is how it's done in Alhoslab: harja = brush vesisuutin = water jet B = backing side E = emulsion side in the bottom is drain (= viemäri).

I'm still waiting for my first test material to return from processing. My friend's lab moved and due to that they haven't had time to run any E-6 for a long time. Hopefully soon I can tell more about my experiences :)

It could also be that Wittner is calculating that Ferrania bringing new E-6 film to the market removes them from the position of being the only supplier of color reversal (Wittnerchrome 200D). So, one has to take full advantage of the situation while it lasts...

Thanks Friedemann for your test! Regarding the Logmar test cartridges you exposed last year: have you already had them telecined? Would it be possible to see some clips provided you aren't restricted by some currently-work-in-progress-camera NDA? :)
