Imbir KGB Movie Camera 1959-1984
http://ussrphoto.com/wiki/print.asp?ContentID=838
The "Imbir" (Ginger) is a 16 mm movie camera, probably made by KMZ in their "special workshop" and used by the Soviet KGB, usually hidden in a briefcase, for surveillance films. It was also used by other Soviet block police and special services, including the Stasi (MfS - Ministerium fuer Staatssicherheit der DDR) in East Germany and the StB (Czechoslovakian Secret Police). Although rare, there are several Imbir cameras in private collections, as well as one in the Czech Police Museum and two in German museums.

Doryu 2-16 Pistol Camera
This realistic automatic pistol-shaped 16mm camera was developed for police and surveillance tasks in 1954, and was produced until 1956. It was sold with 17/2.7 (Polymar and Hokutar), 17/2.5 (Doryu/Dorymar) and 15/2.2 (Dorymar Wide Angle) lenses, but was compatible with some other lenses with C mount as well.

Mamiya Speed Shot Special
Only 250 units of this camera were made in 1954 for police training purposes, and it was never sold to the public. It had a single-speed shutter and a 45mm Sekor f/5.6 lens. This extraordinary pistol camera produced half-frame images on 35mm film.

35mm Russian Spy Camera Masquerades as a Harmless 8mm Camera
Presumably used by a spy/policeman/detective for clandestine photography, the camera features an internal 90-degree prism that directs the view from the lens on the right to the viewfinder in the back.http://petapixel.com/2012/08/16/35mm-russian-spy-camera-masquerades-as-a-harmless-8mm-video-camera/

The Whittaker Micro 16 is smaller than a pack of cigarettes at 71 x 51 x 23.5 mm (2 ¾" x 1" x 2") yet this all metal subminiature is heavy at 238g (8 3/8oz). Made in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California by the Wm. R. Whittaker Co. Ltd from 1947 into the '50's. The firm was owned by William and Robert Whittaker and had been a maker of aircraft parts. The camera was designed to fit into a cigarette wrapper and profit from the mystique of the Kodak-X matchbox camera. Hundreds where sold it police departments and detective bureaus throughout the United States.

1950’s Steky 16mm Miniature Spy Camera – Made in Japan
This Japanese made 1950’s Steky spy camera measures approximately only 2.5″ by 1″. It comes with various components for that extra spy mode features. Definitely a great find, but no information on where to purchase. Definitely one of those great things to own as a collector’s item. -
Links und Rechts noch Platz für Stereotonspur?

Russian KGB spy camera
Kodak 8mm Magazin ?
in Schmalfilm
Geschrieben
Wer stellte dafür die Kamera her? Kodak selber?
